Church wants me to play for this men’s choir thingy. After not refusing to help me with some school finances because I don’t attend an Adventist school and go to public school. Keep in mind I’m the only musician at church who doesn’t even get paid every month. (or at all) Yet they give me like 50 bucks every 5 years? For “my services” C’mon son get outta here. Keep in mind a brotha been playing on a broken set since the beginning. I was promised funding for a new kit but that never happened. Its like you can renovate & rebuild the sanctuary, buy huge flat screen monitors but cant Even get a new drumset?I play because I love drumming and see the bigger picture. But quite frankly, Im tired of being taken for granted. I honestly get more support and pay playing for local baptist choirs etc throughout the summer.
